Journalist -- closes February 8 at 12pm
Location: Greater Vancouver
On behalf of our client we are looking for a journalist/writer on a part time contract basis for approximately one year. Our client may be interested in offering a full time permanent role if the contract work is successful. The successful candidate must be comfortable researching stories and relying on his/her network of contacts to get the real story or research new stories. Though this network isn't essential, candidates with a strong network will have an obvious advantage over those who don't have colleagues they can readily contact.
Skills or Qualifications Required:
1. Ability to research own stories and bring story ideas to the table.
2. Experience working with copy editors and able to accept feedback on copy. Journalism experience in a newspaper or magazine industry is an advantage.
3. Good knowledge of TSE, TSX, trading in stock market.
4. Knowledge of geology and/or finance important.
Start: ASAP
Duration: Part time indefinitely with a chance of permanent employment
