Alright so here's the deal:
I am pitching a documentary that will encourage people to donate blood. It's a short doc 5-10 minutes and it's a student project. There is no funding but hopefully we will make it good enough to send to film festivals!
Alright so What I need right now are volunteers who wouldn't mind going on camera and answering a few questions. We are looking for people who have donated blood and do advise others to also do the same, and for them to share their experience with us. It can be on either side, donationg blood or your experience with receiveing blood and why you think it's so important.
On the other hand we are also looking for volunteers to tell us why they perfer not to donate blood, maybe for religious reasons or because of the needlephobia. Most people don't donate blood because they are afraid of needles and we would like to have your opinon on camera.
We would also like a volunteer who is afraid of donating because of his/her needlephobia but will eventually donate. This will be our main subject. We will follow you around and get information on the process and procedure you are about to take.
I find that a lot of people don't donate and I think that especially at the season we are in, there are a lot of accidents and you might save someone's life. This is an informational doc, Everyone on camera is free to express their feelings about this topic anyway they choose. I hope there are people out there willing to talk about this issue in our society.
We hope to be filming in the next 2-3 weeks. We can set up a time with everyone whenever they are available for shooting. Note: there is no compensation for this, but if you would like a final copy of the project, feel free to ask.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. For more imformation or clarification on anything, do not hesitate to send me an e-mail.
Cheers!
