Vitamin D Status of Pregnant Women in BC
Are pregnant women in Vancouver getting enough vitamin D?
Would you like to help us learn more about vitamin D in pregnancy?
Who can participate in the study?
Any healthy pregnant woman (w/o pregnancy complications, such as kidney disease, diabetes, gestational diabetes, communicable disease, cardiac disease, and renal disease).
What will be expected of me?
One attendance at BC women’s hospital (Vancouver) about 30~40 minutes.
What will happen at the clinic?
- Survey
- Blood sample
- Skin colour measurement
You will know your vitamin D level. You will also receive a $25 grocery voucher to compensate you for your travel expenses.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Tina Li (graduate student, Human Nutrition Program, UBC) at 604-619-1326 or wangyli@interchange.ubc.ca
