“Kid’s Court” Movie

Hello, we are an SFU student based film group, Crosscurrent Productions. On Saturday November 7th 2009 we will be filming a short children’s movie called “Kid’s Court,” and we are searching for kids to be a part of it.
The movie is about a group of children 5-7 years old who have created their own little court, and are putting each other on trial for the things that concern children (i.e. the case of Sally pushed Jimmy). We are looking for students aged 5-8 years old to be the “audience” in this court scene, and to be part of the movie.
For kids that wish to be a part of making movies (or for parents who wish their kids to be a part of movies) this is a chance to have an active role in one. More than just a typical “extras” role, the kids in this audience will be taking part in the scene: calling things out, chanting, whispering, etc. It can be a chance to get a little experience on set being an extra, a chance to do some acting (some of the audience kids will have lines to call out or to whisper). As well, everyone will have the chance at taking direction from the director. Above all, it should be lots of fun for the kids that are taking part, and we will be very grateful for everyone’s time.
The details:
Call time: Saturday Nov. 7th @ 9:45 a.m. [shooting 10am-1pm]
Location: Lion’s Gate Christian Academy, 420 Seymour River Place, North Vancouver.
Compensation: Considering this is a student film, monetary compensation is unavailable; we will have snacks and refreshments for guardians and kids [limit one guardian per child please]. What we can offer is experience, and a fun time.
