I just want to find some cool people to hang out with! I know it's a long shop but I'm hoping there are a few non-crazy craigslist surfers out there somewhere.
I just moved from the U.S. and I'm starting a degree program next year and working up until then. I haven't found a way to meet new people here. I can hear you people saying "It's not that hard...just get out there....and....start talking to people". I would like some elaboration on this since I can't see myself, young petite woman, sitting alone at a bar hoping to come across some friendly people who don't think it's weird that I'm sitting alone at a bar.
Now that I said that here is a bit about me. I'm a very laid back, drama dodger. I would say I'm somewhat of a girly-girl but I'm not one to go grocery shopping in heels, idolize anyone on MTV, etc.... I would love to go out and see some local live music. I like indie/alternative kind of stuff. I love, love, love documentaries or thought provoking independents and it would be cool to find some people who are into that too. I like go for coffee, ice-skating, walking my dog and I'm thinking about going to some drop-in dance classes.
So guys and girls, e-mail me. Oh yeah, I put this in Strictly Platonic because I'm looking for strictly platonic friends!
