This role requires a friendly, professional, detail-oriented and educated Sales / Business Development with relevant Sales experience, ideally in the facilities maintenance / janitorial services category. RESPONSIBILITIES
The right candidate has demonstrated experience as a motivated and proactive Sales and Business Development leader, especially in the aspects of interpreting RFPs, accurately estimating labour and supply costs, and creating and presenting dynamic and professional proposals. Effective communication and customer relations skills are essential, as well as intimate technical knowledge of the janitorial products and services field. The candidate hired will work closely with the Director of Sales and also independantly, performing a wide range of duties including:
- Accurately interpret RFPs
- Generate VERY accurate estimations of labour, supplies etc. included in proposals
- Create accurate, comprehensive and polished client proposals using PowerPoint and Filemaker
- Generate sales leads through cold calling and networking
- Seek out open RFPs
- Establish and maintain excellent rapport with clientele and industry contacts
- Perform facility walkthroughs and other proposal assessment measures
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have 3-5+ years of relevant industry sales and business development experience with a medium to large Facilities Maintenance / Janitorial Services firm. You may also offer related RFP Business Development experience from window cleaning, landscaping, painting or waste disposal companies. You will have a history of proven results and the ability to provide an overview of your past sales successes and generated revenues. You will also have:
- a Bachelor Degree of higher in business or other related category
- Exceptional business acumen and skill and solid accounting knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skills
- Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills and budget estimation abilities
- Solid computer skills, including expertise with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- The ability to learn new computer / web applications
- A professional & pleasant demeanor, along with a strong work ethic and good teamwork & collaboration
- A Valid BC Drivers License with a clean record
- The ability to pass a criminal background check
