Interested in hiring a licensed electrical contractor?

Confused that they ask you to send them an e mail and I will contact you soon?
Call them after 4 pm and on weekends on a cell phone?
They don’t leave a business card or a written quote of the job?
They ask you to buy the material and they install in for cheap?

A lot of people posting adds on C/L and are not properly licensed to do electrical work. What do I mean about that?

Anyone performing electrical work for others must be licensed with the BC Safety Authority, you can check out there web site at www.safetyauthority.ca
Look under homeowners section and see the entire list of licensed electrical contractors in the province.

Don’t be fooled by someone giving you the line that permits and those licensed contractors are expensive, explain that to your insurance agent when you suddenly have a claim…denied! Or better yet your neighbour calls in the inspector and you are forced to remove all of your nicely painted drywall.
