Our company is based on Liverpool, UK. We are expanding our business in Canada. For Vancouver branch there is an immediate vacancy for Senior Network Analyst position.

This is skilled technical work related to sustaining the security (Catalyst 6500, Checkpoint firewalls and edge devices) and performance of the networks and related infrastructure and the configuration and deployment of network software and hardware, ensuring the functionality and efficiency of local and wide area networks and related infrastructure as well as troubleshooting network hardware, software and related problems. Other duties include monitoring and analyzing system and network performance; investigating and resolving network hardware, software and operating system problems affecting the performance of the communications and storage networks; preparing and maintaining system and network security and capacity plans; designing or revising changes to storage, network and communications architecture; and coordinating the installation of communications hardware and software. The Senior Network Analyst prepares and maintains a variety of technical documents, records and statistics related to the work and may act as a project leader regarding the acquisition and implementation of approved technology systems.

Job Requirements: Qualifications include: graduation from an Institute of Technology with a diploma in computer systems technologies with specific related courses plus considerable network management and security experience (5 – 7 years). Requirements include considerable knowledge of storage and local and wide area network technologies and standards, server and workstation operating systems, hardware platforms, firewalls and configuration platforms; of problem definitions and solutions; and of network security practices and techniques including firewall configuration and maintenance. MCSE 2003, CCNA, MCTS, CCNE and CCSA/CCSE certifications are considered assets. Other attributes include the ability to monitor the effectiveness of the computer networks and to implement remedial action as needed. MS 2008 Active Directory and MS Exchange Server 2007 experience is desired, along with Citrix, SCCM, SVC, and AIX. You must state your desired salary and resume.
