We are looking for a Network Management Specialist to join our fast growing Information Systems team. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy challenging work with a great group of passionate professionals in a booming industry.
Job Description/Duties & Responsibilities:
At Global Relay, our Systems Administrators run the business. They ensure the network infrastructure that connects our customers and data centers are available 24/7. This includes design, development, deployment, administration and maintenance of large-scale mission critical UNIX/Linux systems. Daily tasks are dynamic; include programming, system and software installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and upgrades.
Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple redundant networks employing BGP, firewalls, routing and switches.
Work with Development to design and implement our growing network infrastructure
Work closely with up-stream netwrok providers to resolve network routing issues
Evaluate, recommend and implement network infrastructure components in support of the deployment of efficiently designed networks
Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
Provide problem-solving services to network users, customers and business partners
Implement network traffic and security monitoring software
Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls
May supervise other workers in this group
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, with three years experience administering medium to large UNIX/Linux systems in a complex network environment.
Well versed in all network protocols, with experience with BGP
Experieince with email, printing, hardware redundancy, name service, authentication and identity management, advanced file systems, large web servers, and storage area network administration.
Understands and can apply high availability concepts.
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and team-player approach.
Learns quickly, able to manage multiple priorities
