Of all the places one’s wandering feet could land on this planet we call home, the two of us find ourselves nestled here in a 3 bedroom quiet charming heritage house in Kitsilano, Vancouver BC. The third bedroom has recently come available as our sweet roommate is moving back to Victoria.
The available room is spacious and bright, 200sq. ft with large windows on both sides, and hardwood floors. The suite has 9ft ceilings and extensive woodwork it has been recently renovated with a great room combined with kitchen/dining area, new carpets, large tiled bathroom, separate toilet room and new fridge and stove. It also comes with free shared laundry facility, bike room with a large secured locker and a designated parking space. Wireless internet is $20/month split 3 ways. The house is close to all amenities. It is a couple of blocks from trendy 4th Avenue shopping and restaurants, a few blocks from the beach, on the bicycle route and minutes to UBC campus, Point Grey and downtown.
We love to share things like pots and pans and food, and we love to make delicious organic autumn vegetable soups and bake yummy treats with spelt flour and cane sugar! We believe that living together in community is about respect, and friendship, and going the extra mile for each other's comfort. We hope to be friends with you - so we are not looking for someone who wishes to live alone. Also, the house is quite open and echo-ey, and we both work night shifts, so if you are crazy loud and just want to bang on your drums all day, you need not apply ;P
We listen to music all the time - things like Dan Bern, Beirut, Billy Bragg, Xavier Rudd, Bob Dylan, Blind Pilot, Iron and Wine, Leonard Cohen, Wilco, Tom Waits, Devendra Banhart, etc..... if those sounds tickle your eardrums, you'll probably like it here!
Rent is $658 + utilities (our bill last month was $55 split 3 ways)
