We live in a time where the simple acts of earning a living, raising a family and staying healthy present challenges that can appear insurmountable. The our organisations betray us. Unions demand 37 percent pay raises at the brink of financial armegedon. A simple flu generates a level of hysteria out of order with its lethal capability. We cannot move. We cannot meet the demands upon us. Families use two incomes to bid up housing unsustaineably. And then those two working parents cannot protect their children from their own breakdown. It is a constant state of compression.
But there are some solutions. Work near where you live. Eat real food. Budget for a future with less economic opportunities. Educate your children. Throw out allot of the crap you have accumulated that you don't need and Do NOT replace it.
Why? Less travel, less cost, more time and you can live outise of the major centers. Real food is cheaper, more nutritious, and the time preparing it is relaxing. Spend less than you earn, plan for the unknown and reduce reliance on others. Your children will need a Master's level education to be competitive, or they will struggle more than you ever will. So it your life is hard their is going to be hell. Look around your house, are your using the extra square footage to store stuff that you don't need. Saves money too. Downsizing your place reduces cash flow requirements and may put money into your savings plans.
Life is hard but it is easier today than a peasent in Egland in the 1600's.
