OLIO FESTIVAL - 2010 -
ART CURATOR POSITION AVAILABLE

Olio Festival 2010 is currently looking to fill our ART CURATOR position. The Art Curator will assist Olio Festival in booking artists to contribute pieces of original work at the Olio Festival 2010 Events. Olio Festival 2010 runs Thursday September 23rd, 2010 - Sunday September 26th, 2010.

Ideal applicants would have a broad knowledge of local, international & independent artists - from established artists to new up and coming independent artists - and have an extensive knowledge of different styles and form of art. Being in contact with decision makers at leading independent galleries throughout the city of Vancouver is a large part of the position. The successful candidate will be able to intelligently discuss the curatorial state of a variety of both theoretical and accessible galleries around the City of Vancouver.

To be considered for this position, the candidate must have at least two of the following assets:

- Strong educational background in fine art
- Strong professional background in fine art
- Be an award winning artist either at the Municipal, Provincial, or Federal level.

The 2010 Art Curator will be entitled to a :
Financial Honorium
&
Percentage of all art sold at 2010 Olio Festival Events
