Red Label is looking for a talented web user interface and interactive designer with experience creating visual solutions for web and interactive media.
As well as displaying a fantastic online portfolio that makes your contemporaries green with envy, you are also the kind of person that although highly independent, takes direction extremely well and thrives in a group environment where the best solution is always the result of individual creativity fused with great collaboration.
The successful designer will be part of the creative team, report to the project manager, and work across multiple disciplines to design top-notch user experiences.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to brainstorming during conceptual phase of a project
Execute design solutions that are on brand and meet client business objectives
Produce mood boards, design sketches, digital page layouts, interactive prototypes, and other interactive design deliverables
Closely collaborate with other team members including project managers, programmers, writers and clients
Work on multiple projects at once for different clients and mediums (i.e. web, Flash animations, touch screens, DVD-rom front ends, interactive TV etc.)
Present ideas, concepts, and final deliverables to internal teams
Document design solutions and design patterns using industry standard methods & software such as Adobe CS3/CS4
Be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision, but must also love collaboration and brainstorming
Can juggle several projects and consistently meet or beat deadlines
Requirements:
B.A. or B.F.A in Design or related field
2+ years of experience at an Interactive Agency, Design Studio, consultant role or similar
Proficiency in HTML, Flash and CSS
Solid understanding of the process for designing intuitive site functionality, site architecture, user interfaces, and global navigation systems
Demonstrate expertise and passion in typography, layout, and visual identity development
Strong presentation and communication skills
Strong understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, including image and typesetting optimization
Able to negotiate effectively with the internal team and represent design decisions when needed
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment while also being able to focus on independent work
Experience with InDesign and print processes a definite plus
