Job Summary
The Online Community Manager (OCM) for CMI’s Partnerpedia (www.partnerpedia.com) reports to the CTO, and is responsible for facilitating and promoting interaction and adoption of the Partnerpedia community. They have direct ‘conversations’ with community members on an ongoing basis to evaluate how they use the community. They provide valuable introductions between community members and facilitate collaborations and partnering amongst them. The OCM works closely with marketing to generate demand for the community and ensure that everyone has an excellent experience from the moment they join Partnerpedia. The OCM defines and enforces the rules of the community that promote the best adoption and ensures that the Partnerpedia brand is promoted. They actively promote Partnerpedia by taking part in conversations and collaborations on other online communities, and working with community members to help them create the best profiles and portals to meet their business objectives. The OCM actively pulls the top industry headlines and news from various trade publications that are relevant to the community so that Partnerpedia becomes a channel news aggregator in addition to an open community.

Requirements
The Online Community Manager must have professional writing skills, high level IT industry knowledge and a true passion for taking part and managing online social interaction. The OCM must also have the following:
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Proven professional writing experience
• Strong knowledge of social media trends
• Strong knowledge of the IT industry
• A passion and acumen for online social interaction
• University Degree

Responsibilities
• Assess and understand how Partnerpedia community members are using the platform and what benefits they receive from the community
• Facilitate introductions, collaboration and partnering amongst community members
• Promote Partnerpedia on other social platforms (i.e. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) through engaging our target audience in direct conversations and sharing of content.
• Define and enforce the rules of the community in order to promote adoption and good community experiences for members
• Manage and maintain the Constructive profile on Partnerpedia as an example “Gold Standard” profile
• Support community members to create effective profiles and portals
• Troubleshoot any problems that community members have using Partnerpedia
• Attend events and tradeshows to promote and recruit new Partnerpedia community members
• Engage our users with compelling, relevant and timely content, offering them a comprehensive destination for news, information, interactivity and community.
