Hello,
I am a female in my mid 30's and I have over 15 years experience working with children of all ages. I have done everything from camp counsellor, swim instructor and arts and crafts teacher to babysitter and nanny/housekeeper. I have experience with mentally and physically handicapped children, special needs, twins, infants, large families and large groups of children.
I am fun and creative. I enjoy activities (indoor and outdoor), crafts, games, music, day trips, and even the dreaded homework. I am not a big fan of TV or video games, but I am happy to watch/play if that is what your child enjoys.
I am available most weekday evenings and all day/night on the weekends.
I have first aid and CPR training and many references from families I have worked with.
I am english speaking and have a pretty good handle on french.
I have a drivers license and my own vehicle (I do expect you to pay for gas if I use my own car to drive your children around).
I love animals, so if you have a pet in the home they will be sure to get some attention too.
If you need a night or day out or a weekend away I can help.
My rates vary depending on: age and number of children, how far away you live (I'm in East Vancouver), if driving the children is involved, if cooking/housework/laundry/shopping is involved etc. Generally I charge between $12 and $20 per hour.
