Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide general HR support with a focus on labour relations as well as work on special projects.
Responsibilities for this position include:
• Employee/Labour relations (Approximately 30% of the time)
• Compensation and job evaluation
• Professional development and performance coaching
• Updating and drafting new HR policies
• Ensuring employment equity and diversity
We are seeking an individual with a minimum of 6 years of progressive HR experience including a minimum of 3 years working in a unionized setting. To be successful in this position, candidates must be able to administer a collective agreement including grievance handling. You must have excellent negotiation and facilitation skills as well as research and analytical skills. In addition, you must be a self-starter and be able to make sound decisions independently.
