Our client is a world leading post production facility located in downtown Vancouver. You will be responsible for recruiting a range of creative and technical staff to ensure the facility is fully staffed with a high standard of talent.
Although there is an established talent pool, you will also be expected to be proactive in finding new initiatives to ensure recruits the best people available in a highly competitive industry.
You will be responsible for the full recruitment process, from sourcing candidates, tracking applications and making offers. It is a highly networked industry and you will be expected to track and keep in touch with potential hires.
Although the role will initially be focused on recruitment, there will be an opportunity to focus on more strategic resourcing initiatives to include designing and implementing a graduate and internship programme and developing a long term recruitment strategy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment
• Hiring across all areas
• Liaising with the Leads to ensure reels are being assessed
• Preparing offers based on candidate expectations, salary bands and budgets to include obtaining sign off
• Negotiating offers
• Providing feedback to unsuccessful candidates
• Conducting interviews
• Preparing and analysing recruitment statistics
• Working in partnership with other company facilities to target and share potential hires
Recruitment Initiatives
• Organising and presenting at recruitment events throughout North America
• Development of graduate recruitment strategy and design of graduate programme
• Design of internship programme
• Development of a long term recruitment strategy
Resourcing
• Headhunting prospective hires
• Resourcing and tracking of talent
Planning
• Resource planning with to ensure the live recruitment is in line with the ever changing vacancy list
• Management of incoming applications
Systems and Administration
• Recruitment system and process development and implementation
• Ensuring all internal recruitment systems are up to date
• Working closely with HR to ensure the smooth transition of contracts and visa applications
Key Skills and Experience
• Extensive recruitment experience. The ideal candidate will either have experience within the Film industry or can demonstrate ability to quickly learn and adapt to new industries.
• Experience of working in an onsite or in-house capacity
• Volume recruitment experience (including strengths in sourcing and networking)
• Experience of working in a dynamic environment
• Experience of working closely with HR and senior management for resource planning
• A self starter with the drive, determination and commitment to get things done
• University relations / graduate recruitment experience is an advantage
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience of delivering HR advice and support to senior level managers.
• Effective communicator at all levels, with the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride and quality of output.
• Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines with the ability to multi-task
• Willingness to effectively participate as a full member of a team demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic approach.
• Customer focused with the ability to deliver against expectations of management
• Able to work on own initiative
