The Union Gospel Mission is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position provides a wide range of human resource advisory and administrative services to UGM management and staff, assisting in the delivery of HR programs and initiatives to enable the achievement of individual, team and organizational goals. As a member of the HR Team (includes a payroll/benefit administrator), the position consults with, coaches and assists managers on a day to day basis, providing support, counsel and tactical solutions for a broad variety of HR issues and functions including: employee relations; recruitment; compensation; employee retention; performance planning; and training and development. You will also have responsibility for HR administration such as: managing employee files; completion of employee life cycle forms; and maintenance of survey information, role descriptions, organization charts, policies and procedures, and other HR documents.
You have a degree/diploma in Human Resources, a CHRP designation, and 3-5 years of progressive experience in a similar position where you’ve developed a solid foundation in all HR fundamental program and practice areas and relevant legislation.
