1984 Enterprises Inc. is currently recruiting for an OFA3/Safety Coordinator to work in remote mining exploration camps.
Responsibilities:
• Attend to any and all first aid requirements
• Assist with the administration of safety documentation
• Contribute to the awareness of site safety matters
• Proactively assess and report safety matters
• Support safety procedures developed to manage risk to site personnel
• Coordinate safety meetings
• Deliver presentations
• Administrative duties including documenting minutes, compiling reports and managing electronic files onsite
• Participate in the Joint OH&S Committee
• Liaise between site personnel and management for safety issues
Requirements:
• Safety certification including: OFA Level III, WHMIS, TDG, and Joint OH&S Committee training
• Time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Good problem solving skills with the ability to work effectively alone and prioritize
• Ability to work in a multifaceted environment
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in a remote camp environment would be an asset
• Fluency in French would be an asset
• Strong computer skills including MS Office programs such as MS Word and MS Excel
Successful candidates will be highly motivated, service and team-oriented individuals with keen observation skills with an attention to detail and documentation. You will be available and willing to commit to work and live in remote locations for up to 42 consecutive days.
