We're looking for a Senior Web Application Developer.
You have at least 5 years of industry experience as a web developer, preferably at an agency or in house at a development company. You've been the technical lead on at least 3 web applications or major websites requiring backend development.
Technical Skills

You're an expert in:
- PHP/MySQL
- Linux/Apache
- Standards Compliant HTML/CSS
You should have a really good grasp of:
- Javascript
- AJAX and AJAX Libraries
- Actionscript
Bonus (but not necessary):
- Ruby on Rails
- Drupal
- Any other web development framework
Soft skills
--------------------------------------
Communication Skills
You need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to present to non-technical audiences and to interact with a team from a wide variety of disciplines. We're not looking for a yes man. We want someone that wants to do things the right way. Having said that, we're not looking for a bully or diva. You must work well with a team of people with a diverse range of disciplines: people with titles like designer, art director, account manager and project manager.
Documentation
As a well organized developer with the habit of adhering to the best practices possible, you document your code well -- not just in your own coded chicken scratch -- but documentation so clear that anyone else can pick up the code and understand what's going on.
Leadership and Mentorship
You like to share knowledge and are willing and able to guide and help others in the company improve and benefit from your experience and skill.
Responsibilities
--------------------------------------
You will be the technical guru -- providing knowledge and advice to the rest of the Agency. The majority of your time, however, will be spent getting your hands dirty -- coding and developing. As an agency, we build all sorts of digital products: websites, sitelets, web applications and even banner ads.
- Lead technical team/vendors and provide technical leadership on existing and future Interactive projects.
- Assist in estimating task and meeting project schedules/milestones
- Work with internal teams to help design, consult and approve software architecture
- Be accountable for the code quality of all Interactive projects
