Our client is looking for a talented and experienced back-end Software Developer

Job Role:
Design and development of web applications, coding on current and future versions of our clients solutions and applications suite
Back-End/Middleware development with PHP and Linux
MySQL database integration and development
Test-driven development, unit testing and bug fixing of developed code
Development and production of code to the Agile methodology
Documenting of source code, change management inclusions and functional spec updates
Work and project time estimation, in collaboration with dev team leads
Participate in design, review and status meetings
Knowledge and skills sharing/transfer across the team as required
Stay current with new social media sites and platforms
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelors degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related experience
Minimum of 5 years experience developing, testing, deploying and maintaining web applications
At least 3-5 years experience developing PHP applications is essential
Minimum of 3 years experience with SQL-based database development (in particular MySQL)
Knowledge of and experience with at least one other object-oriented language (Java, C#, C++, etc.) would be considered an asset
Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Flex would be considered an asset
Experience with object-oriented design and Agile practices
Deep understanding of common web concepts and technologies, such as: JavaScript (AJAX), HTML, CSS, XML, and other related technologies
A successful and proven track record of developing and delivering web applications
A demonstrable knowledge of social media and social networks is a distinct advantage
Excellent communication skills
The ability to take initiative, solve problems, and communicate effectively
Analytical and quantitative skills
