Tennis Instructor

Tennis XL, a leader in delivering school tennis programs, is seeking full time and part time instructors.
Reporting To: Head Instructor of Tennis XL
Location: Lower Mainland, BC
Start Date: November 16, 2009, or as soon as possible
Position Summary
A Tennis Instructor¡¦s main responsibility is to deliver professional tennis lessons to students from Kindergarten ¡V Grade 12 in either an in school or after school format. Instructors will receive training in the Tennis XL methodology of coaching and are expected to model this training in their lessons. Full time positions work 20-35 hrs/week from Mid-November ¡V June. Part Time positions work on a week on/week off basis.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
„X Deliver tennis lessons in either an in school or after school format
„X Represent Tennis XL in a professional manner at all times
„X Prepare and submit timesheets to supervisor
„X Gather paperwork and other documents from the school
„X Ensure that you are prepared each week to deliver the program (with details of your location and also necessary equipment)
„X Model the Tennis XL coaching method

Skills/Qualifications
„X Enthusiastic and energetic about working with school aged children
„X Previous coaching experience necessary
„X Ability to work independently in the schools
„X Self-motivated
„X Strong interpersonal skills
„X Qualified to work in Canada
„X Tennis Canada certification preferred but not required
„X Access to a vehicle strongly recommended
„X French language skills an asset
