REQUIRED: Commitment of 6 months minimum, could develop into longer-term position if it works for both parties.
Position Overview: The main focus is the general care of a 2 month old infant. Both parents are sef-employed so they don’t really get a Mat leave and need to attend to some business during the week. They want to hire someone that is very knowledgeable about infants and that will truly enjoy time with their child and do some simple developmental activities such as tummy time, story reading and play. When the child is sleeping they would like someone with a helpful nature that does not mind sterilizing bottles, doing some of the babies laundry and tidying his play and sleeping areas. Later on in the position as the baby transitions to solids some preparation of fresh natural purées such as apples, pears, kale, chick pea will be needed.
Relevant previous employment experiences could be: ECE with Infant toddler training and experience, Post-partum Doula, Nanny with infant experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
• • Must have knowledge and previous experience with infants, their stages of development, and age appropriate activities and food.
• Current First Aid / CPR Certificate or willing to obtain one.
***Must be willing to get an RCMP Background check.
