“On-Call” casual employment can offer lots of work, a chance to gain
valuable work experience, an increased opportunity for permanent work, or
part-time work while you are in school.
“On-Call” staff will fill in when our regular staff are away on vacation or on
leave. We need staff in our
o Licensed infant, toddler, and preschool programs
o Before and after school programs
o Child-minding programs
o Family drop-in programs
You will have:
o Completed grade 12 and be at least 19 years of age.
o ECE Certification or ECE Assistant Certification.
o Completed at least one course of basic early childhood education from a qualified
educational institution.
o Training and experience in children’s programs, recreation, teaching, or in a related
field.
o Good knowledge and understanding of age-appropriate programming and
developmental needs of children
o Experience working with a diverse population of children and their families.
o Basic First Aid training and certification
o Good communication skills
Terms of Employment:
o Salary: $14.39 per hour + 8.2% of salary in lieu of vacation and stat. holidays
