Bus Systems Supervisors are paid positions that report directly to their respective Venue Systems Manager and manage the flow and delivery of buses for his or her assigned client system (i.e.: Media, Athlete, Sponsor, Workforce, Spectator) between the bus staging area and venue load zones. Bus System Supervisors of the Internal Shuttles System ensure each shuttle maintains a consistent and timely frequency whilst ensuring vehicles are at the correct location when needed. Supervisors directly manage the Load Zone Crew. Locations will be in the Vancouver Lower Mainland and Squamish regions. All applicants must be available January 4 - March 31, 2010 and be willing to work shifts up to 12 hours.<br>

We are looking for people to demonstrate and promote ACER laptops running Windows 7 Operating systems to guests at the ACER Pavilion from February 7th through to March 2nd. Demonstrators will be provided with training on the operation of the new software and you will showcase the products and services from ACER. <br>

You will have your Olympic professionalism and promotional “hat” on to answer general and technical questions about the systems, and if required, escalate questions to supervisors at the Pavilion. <br>

Note: We will also run a criminal, education and background check as it’s an Olympic Requirement for all staff working at Olympic Venues. <br>

Senior Systems Administrator
<br>

Based in beautiful Vancouver BC, the Senior Systems Administrator reports to the IT Manager and is directly responsible for designing and supporting our internal IT Systems Infrastructure. 
<br>

The successful candidate must excel at multi-tasking and have the ability to ramp up quickly in a dynamic, fast paced environment. The Sr. Systems Administrator will provide technology support and direction to the infrastructure team, ensuring that all technologies work effectively together to deliver a high-performing and stable IT infrastructure. 
<br>

All candidates should be highly credible with demonstrable ability to engage as a trusted advisor to senior IT and business management on emerging technologies and how best to exploit them for business advantage. Candidates must possess strong technical skills and proven hands-on administration experience with Microsoft's server and desktop technologies.

Responsibilities
<br>
·         Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, system and key processes.  Reviewing system and application logs, verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
<br>

<br>
·         Perform daily maintenance for VMware vSphere infrastructure, applications and system management tools
<br>

<br>
·         Manage and maintain all system networking devices such as our ADSL high speed modems, SonicWall/Cisco Firewalls, blades and switches
<br>

<br>
·         Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software compatibility issues. 
<br>

<br>
·         Responsible for the security of network and technical infrastructure by ensuring proper outside access to system resources, intrusion prevention and virus protection
<br>

<br>
·         Providing general technical direction to junior staff members and operating IT support personnel regarding infrastructure projects and support activities
<br>

<br>
·         Provide on call support after hours and on weekends when scheduled as well as work out of hours, when appropriate, to support major implementations or to react to high priority service issues.
<br>

·         Contribute to the development and continuous review of appropriate practices, standards and guidelines
<br>

This is complex technical work in the field of Information Technology services. REQUIRED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE<br>

•	Seven years of related experience.<br>

Duties: <br>

Receive technical support requests, prioritize and categorize them in the helpdesk ticket database.<br>
Troubleshoot technical support requests with strong communication with the requestor, ensure timely completions and follow-ups.<br>
Analyze escalated support requests and coordinate their completion with other senior technicians as required.<br>
Meet weekly with IT Technicians to coordinate activities and submit meeting minutes to the IT Manager<br>
Submit reports on Helpdesk activities and workload to the IT Manager<br>
Plan and implement Helpdesk related projects and tasks such as software rollouts, licensing and asset management strategies, post project support plans and system improvements.<br>
Manage and develop the Helpdesk public website to educate staff on how to use internal systems.  Provide access to manuals, forms and training materials.<br>
Create and maintain documentation relating to Helpdesk operating procedures.<br>
Respond to network emergencies, system failures, and security alarms.<br>
Carry emergency pager and periodically work weekends/evenings.<br>

Qualifications:<br>
<br>
·         Six or more years of experience in the IT field.<br>
<br>
·         Strong organization skills and proven capability of planning and executing large projects effectively.<br>
<br>
·         Post secondary certification or degree (degree or equivalent preferred)<br>

·         Strong understanding of the latest software technologies and concepts, preferably: Microsoft Windows networks, SharePoint, Group policy, ITIL, Checkpoint firewalls, VMWare, VOIP, Symantec Backup Exec, and Blackberry Enterprise Server. <br>

Job Description/Duties & Responsibilities:<br>
At Global Relay, our Systems Administrators run the business. They ensure the network infrastructure that connects our customers and data centers are available 24/7. This includes design, development, deployment, administration and maintenance of large-scale mission critical UNIX/Linux systems. Daily tasks are dynamic; include programming, system and software installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and upgrades. <br>

Responsibilities: <br>
•	Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple redundant networks employing BGP, firewalls, routing and switches. <br>
•	Work with Development to design and implement our growing network infrastructure<br>
•	Work closely with up-stream netwrok providers to resolve network routing issues<br>
•	Evaluate, recommend and implement network infrastructure components in support of the deployment of efficiently designed networks <br>
•	Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks <br>
•	Provide problem-solving services to network users, customers and business partners <br>
•	Implement network traffic and security monitoring software<br>
•	Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls <br>
•	May supervise other workers in this group<br>

Qualifications:<br>
•	Bachelor's degree, with three years experience administering medium to large UNIX/Linux systems in a complex network environment.<br>
•	Well versed in all network protocols, with experience with BGP<br>
•	Experieince with email, printing, hardware redundancy, name service, authentication and identity management, advanced file systems, large web servers, and storage area network administration.<br>
•	Understands and can apply high availability concepts. <br>
•	Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and team-player approach. <br>
•	Learns quickly, able to manage multiple priorities<br>
