Optinet Systems Inc. is a Systems Integrator, specializing in advanced Voice, Data, IP Systems; Security and Access Control Systems. Our Wireless team, provodes technical services in support of the installation, maintenance and development of cellular radio sites.
Optinet has a current opening for an Senior Network Technician, to proactively participate with the installation and commissioning of network based system components, within our wireless technical team. The product specialist's role is to assist with the selection, setup, implementation and customization of CISCO based Communications Networks; Customer Training, computing infrastructure improvements and integration of internal and external systems.
Product specific training will be provided.
Education should include a Bachelor or Technical Degree as well as MCSE
Requirements:
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for:
*Assisting company Business Consultants in--installing, upgrading and maintaining business software and hardware for clients.
*Supporting clients with the following services:
**Strategic Planning including; Technical Assessments, Network Architecture Design, Network Implementation, Network Migration, Security Audit, Server/Desktop Deployment.
**Technical Support including; Network Administration, Desktop PC Installation and Support, Backup Monitoring, Software Updates/Upgrades, Search Engine Optimization, Exchange/SQL Server.
**Procurement Services includes; Cisco / Dell Servers and PC's, HP Servers and PC's, Microsoft Business Solutions and Classic Software, Symantec Anti-Virus, 3Com Equipment.
Additional Comments:
Must have working knowledge of:
*Microsoft Office Desktop products
*Server Virtualization via VMware, Virtual Server
*Blade server technologies and configurations
*System Integration
*Active Directory, Exchange, Terminal Server, Citrix, SQL
*Patch Management, Identity Management
*Network Infrastructure
*Experience with solutions related to VLAN,VPN,Remote Access, CiscoWorks Server, Broadband, Wireless,QoS and Cisco IOS Software
