Hello,

My wife and I are looking to take into our home a person with disabilities who would like to live on their own but still have the support and the friendship of a loving family to be with and interact with.

My wife who is 31 years old is a licensed Resident Care Aide and I am a 41 year old Security Supervisor. My wife has been looking after residents, patients and children for the last 10 years while I have been in the security field for over 17 years so we both stable people. There are no pets in the home. We have a 1 year old son and one of us will always be home with the person but once in a while due to our work schedules, other arrangements will be made but this will be in advance and no short notice.

We do not drink, we do not smoke and we don’t use any drugs. We live in a nice clean and spacious 3 bedroom, two level townhouse in a large townhouse complex in Newton close to stores, malls, and the bus stop is a 3 minute walk from our doorstep. The closest sky train is 15 minutes away and the Newton Bus Loop is 5 minutes away by bus or a 10 minute walk.

The person living with us will have his/her own bedroom, bed, dresser and anything else they would like to bring with them of their choice. They will have access to the internet, home phone, laundry and shared washroom. This room will be available by January 2nd 2010.

Please let us know if you are interest in finding a home for a love one and we can arrange a time to view our home and discuss the rates per month. This is not a short term placement as we prefer long term placement.
