Reiki is a Japanese method to improve your mind and body. It reduces stress, increases relaxation, and is an alternative method of healing. It originated in Kyoto, Japan in the 1920s. Reiki is easy to learn and use, and anyone can practice Reiki healing art after taking a class from a trained Reiki teacher. In addition, while Reiki is spiritual, it is not a religion and can be practiced by anyone.
I learned Reiki from Hyakuten Inamoto, a Buddhist monk, while I lived in Japan. From him, I learned to teach Komyo Reiki Kai, a branch of traditional Reiki (not Western or New Age). My classes are held in Surrey. My Reiki lineage begins with the founder, Usui Sensei, then proceeds as follows:

Ranked by Frommer's as one of the best spas and resorts on Isla Mujeres, Casa de los Suenos is a small, 10 room boutique hotel, known for its tranquillity and friendly service. It's located on a small island just a short boat-ride from Cancun off mainland Mexico. Originally privately owned, the resort was converted into an adults-only hotel in 1998. Boasting lush gardens, open breezeways and a sunken living room, Casa de los Suenos offers beautiful ocean views of the Caribbean. Every room has its own balcony or terrace, also with its own ocean view. All rooms are equipped with en suite bathroom, air conditioning and ceilings fans. 6 of the rooms have king beds, and 2 of the rooms have 2 doubles.
Yoga
Deepen your practice with yoga twice daily in an elegant tropical environment, overlooking the clear blue waters of the Caribbean ocean. Your morning class lasts for an hour and a half, running from 9am to 10:30am. The evening class is a 2 hour session, starting at 4pm and ending at 6pm. The evening yoga class is a gentle, more calming and grounding practice, while the morning classes are invigorating and energy-building. All classes are mixed level and are suitable for beginning, intermediate and advanced students alike. Classes will either be held in the calm and tranquil indoor studio or outdoors.
Meals
Breakfast and dinner will be served in the resort's main restaurant, and both meals are included in the price. You have a choice of a regular or vegetarian meal option. Both options include free non-alcoholic beverages. The island has a vibrant mix of restaurants, including taquerias, open-air cafes and beachside eateries, with prices well below those on the mainland. To allow us the freedom to try the local Mexican cuisine, lunch was deliberately excluded from the meal plan.
Amenities
The resort offers free use of snorkeling and kayaking equipment. Bikes are available at no charge. The hotel also features a beautiful infinity pool. A full-service spa is located within the resort, with a wide array of treatments available at an additional cost. Treatments include seaweed wraps, music therapy treatments, facials, pedicures and massages. Free wifi is also available at the resort.
Activities
Enjoy the ease and convenience of unlimited snorkeling and kayaking directly off the resort's private dock. Bicycles are also available if you'd like to explore the island, which can be done easily as the island is only 7 km long. Take the opportunity to experience the local food culture at lunch, leaving you ample time to take in the market on Hidalgo Street, which is the key shopping area in town. Here you can find rugs, onyx, masks, and blown glass, all at lower prices than the mainland. Check out the ancient Mayan ruin perched on a cliff-top, making for some great photos. Watch sea turtles at Tortugranja, a sanctuary dedicated to protecting marine reptiles. Visit Garafon National Park which is an excellent place to snorkel. Next to the national park is "Sculptured Spaces," a garden of sculptures donated by internationally renowned artists. Swimming is safe at any of the many beaches on the western side of the island.
Airport Transfer
Return transfer to and from Cancun airport is included in the retreat price. This includes shuttle transportation to the ferry dock, ferry to the island, and transportation from the ferry dock to the resort.

In addition to whatever clothing you prefer to practice yoga in, bring basic summer clothes and be sure to include a light jacket or sweater, as it can sometimes get a bit chilly at night. Isla is very casual - t-shirts and shorts are fine anywhere around town, but you might want to bring something dressier for evening.
A valid international passport is required for anybody entering Mexico.

JAY AND THE AMERICANS were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame (2002), placing them among the greatest vocal groups in Rock and Roll history.
Their journey began over 40 years ago, when four teenage boys got together in a Brooklyn basement and formed a group that would come to be known as JAY AND THE AMERICANS.
United Artists needed some music coverage to promote the movie West Side Story. JAY AND THE AMERICANS were signed and their first recording was entitled "Tonight". Their breakout hit was "She Cried", followed by "Only in America", "Come a Little Bit Closer", "This Magic Moment", "Cara Mia", "Crying" and "Some Enchanted Evening". Their popularity continued to grow and they had an unparalleled 12 top ten records during the short time between 1962 and 1971.
"Sunday and Me", Neil Diamond's first hit song released, was recorded by JAY AND THE AMERICANS, who have toured with such renowned artists as Roy Orbison, The Beatles, and the Rolling Stones.
JAY AND THE AMERICANS were a major force in starting the Rock and Roll revival with their album Wax Museum (1970), paying tribute to many Rock and Roll greats with their versions of such songs as "Hushabye", "There Goes My Baby", "When You Dance", and "Walkin' in the Rain".

Jessie Award Winning Actor, Bernard Cuffling, joins the cast of Rigoletto as Narrator for this scintillating tragedy! The story, which explores matters of love, betrayal, jealousy and revenge, will be conducted by the talented Canadian Maestro Gordon Gerrard and features Toronto based Baritone Keith O'Brien in the title role, with local favourites, dynamic Tenor Frédérik Robert (Duke of Mantua) and Coloratura Soprano Szu-Wen Wang (Gilda). Jordan Collalto (Bass-Baritone), Natalie Burdeny (Contralto), Ed Moran (Baritone), Megan Morrison (Mezzo-Soprano), Martin Sadd (Tenor), Aaron Durand (Baritone), Brandon Thornhill (Baritone), Max Van Wyck (Baritone) and Jacqollyne Keath (Mezzo Soprano) round out the stellar cast. "Tuesdays With Morrie" is written for the stage by Mitch Albion and Jeffrey Hatcher based on Albion's best selling book by the same name. It is a feast for the mind and the heart. MEGADETH, easily one of the most recognized and culturally significant names in hard rock music for the past three decades, are excited to re-launch for the first time since 2008 their critically acclaimed package festival GIGANTOUR.
