Hi!
I own and operate a small licensed multi age daycare, in the basement of my home, in the Willoughby area of Langley. The daycare currently has 8 children enrolled everyday and the ages of the children enrolled are: one child age 1, one child age 2, and the rest of the children are 4 and 5 years old.
I am looking for someone to work 4 or 5 days a week in the daycare, beginning in January of 2010. I am looking for someone who may be able to work part time starting this month and the first two weeks of December so that some training can take place, you can get to know the children/their families, and the workload before going to working 4 or 5 days a week.
I have tried to set up a fun environment for the children and also for the person who is working in the daycare, which up until now has mostly been myself. The daycare has a homey feel but with all of the things a great daycare should include.
The person I am looking to hire would need to be willing/wanting to work a 10 hour work day - 7:30 - 5:30 (Monday-Thursday/Friday).
Qualifications needed:
ECE Certified
Experience working in a daycare setting. Having worked in a supervisor position is an asset.
First Aid
Criminal Record Check
Medical form approved by doctor
The person I am looking for must:
Be comfortable working independently with the children.
Friendly, trustworthy, hardworking and dedicated to providing excellent care.
Excellent communication skills.
Have a positive outlook on life.
FUN, flexible and able to "roll with the craziness" of being a teacher to young children.
