I'm getting married with a Chinese girl next summer. I do not speak a word of Chinese, but I'll be going to China for a wedding ceremony. I want to surprise my wife and her family by giving a 5 minute speech in Chinese. She is from Tianjin, and I know she's proud of the fact that she speaks with a pure Tianjin dialect. So I'd like to put this speech together and practice with a Tianjin native speaker. I'm posting this so early because I am not good at learning languages, but I want to get this so perfect that if you closed your eyes you'd think I was also a Tianjin native. I'll probably need the whole 6 months practice to get it right! I'll need your help writing it as well as learning it and practicing the accent. I'd really like a Tianjin native for this job, so please respond if you're from Tianjin, and especially if you think you'd be good at helping write a speech. I don't live in Vancouver, so we can practice via skype. I can't post in Victoria (where I live) because she is always on craigslist and would probably find this post. We can negotiate a pay rate that is fair.
