As the Technical Writer you will work with a diverse team within Product Development to help develop, write, and maintain the documentation for the company's line of products. Your responsibilities include developing, editing, enhancing, and maintaining the existing online help systems and user manuals. Researching and planning new user guides and other instructional material, interviewing and working with subject matter experts to gather information on documenting new features and working with the Technical Communications Manager to help develop, document, and maintain processes and procedures will all be part of your deliverables.<br>

Requirements:<br>
• Bachelor's degree in the sciences or equivalent work experience <br>
• Minimum three years technical writing and editing experience, preferably for large scale software systems <br>
• Experience in both online help systems and printed documentation <br>
• Minimum one year experience using MadCap Flare; familiarity with MadCap Analyzer an asset <br>
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat<br>
• HTML/XML knowledge preferred<br>

National Fire and Safety Planners, a Division of Vancouver Fire and Security are currently searching for a Junior Draftsperson.<br>

The Purpose:<br>
<br>
The position is a full time, temporary position for one year to support the existing Fire Safety Planners in digitizing architectural drawings, using AutoCAD, for the creation of Fire Safety Plans. There is the possibility of a permanent, full time position that may lead to being trained as a Fire Safety Consultant.<br>
<br>
<br>
The Path<br>
<br>
•	Digitize drawings into standardized fire planning format. <br>
•	Gathering accurate information relating to Fire Safety Equipment and Fire Code issues.<br>
•	Communicating with building industry professionals<br>
•	Compiling the information into a Fire Safety Plan that is acceptable to the local Fire Department <br>
•	Other duties as required.<br>

•	The Jr. Draftsperson reports to the NFSP Manager. Primary internal interactions are with the NFSP team. Primary external interactions may be with clients, site staff and regional fire departments.<br>

•	Accurately digitize drawings to department standards.<br>
