About the Job<br>

Kardium has a unique opportunity for an experienced QA/QC Technician. As a member of the Quality Assurance team, the successful candidate will provide Quality Assurance support to manufacturing operations. The role may also assist with Quality Control tasks. This position will report to the QA Operations Manager.<br>
<br>
Responsibilities<br>
<br>
• Supporting daily QMS operations, including QA document and record compilation, review, filing and maintenance. <br>
• Assisting with authoring, revising and/or reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and other QMS documents.<br>
• Initiating and following up on Nonconformity Reports (NCR's), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA's), and Supplier Corrective Actions Reports (SCAR's).<br>
• Assisting with document and record review for root cause investigations in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing.<br>
• Assisting with internal audits and data compilation for trending analysis.<br>
• Compiling and reviewing Device History Records (DHR's) for completeness and accuracy to support product release.<br>
• Interacting with internal parties to resolve quality issues.<br>
• Assisting with the administration and expansion of the company's Electronic Document and Record Control System. <br>
• Performing various document and record control activities (e.g., logging, filing, distribution control, etc.).<br>
• Performing incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection to procedures, specifications, drawings and master samples.<br>
• Maintaining material status identification throughout the production cycle.<br>
• Documenting and escalating inspection results and failures.<br>
<br>
Education and Experience<br>
 <br>
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience in the Biotech field, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training and/or related experience. <br>
• Good understanding of ISO 13485:2003, 21 CFR Part 820 Quality System Regulation, and/or GMP is required.<br>
<br>
Skills<br>
<br>
• Effective written & verbal communication and technical documentation skills.<br>
• Inquisitive nature and strong analytical thinking.<br>
• Ability to read, appropriately interpret and follow detailed inspection procedures and work instructions, and to document inspection accurately.<br>

We are currently recruiting for a:<br>
<br>
LAB ASSISTANT (CLA1) -- 2 positions<br>
 (Afternoon and Graveyard Shift)<br>
<br>
Location: ALS Coal, Richmond<br>
<br>
Reports to: Operations Manager<br>
 <br>
General Accountability: Conducts routine and non-routine analyses of coal samples using correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality, and adheres to safe laboratory practices by working in accordance with the ALS Health and Safety Program.<br>
<br>
Specific Responsibilities:<br>
&#61607;	Performing gravimetric analysis;<br>
&#61607;	Performing rheological analysis;<br>
&#61607;	General lab duties, maintenance and clean-up;<br>
&#61607;	Sample preparation and processing;<br>
&#61607;	Data entry using instrument software and LIMS;<br>
&#61607;	May assist Lab Analyst in maintaining and operating analytical equipment;<br>
&#61607;	Ensure all work instructions and standard working procedures are strictly adhered to;<br>
&#61607;	Help identify and correct QC related problems by ensuring the quality of the analytical data meets ALS standards;<br>
&#61607;	Effectively liaise within department to communicate safety, quality and operational issues;<br>
&#61607;	Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;<br>
&#61607;	Other duties as assigned by the Team lead, Supervisor or Manager.<br>
 <br>
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:<br>
&#61607;	Basic analytical and mechanical skills;<br>
&#61607;	Organized and highly motivated individual;<br>
&#61607;	Ability to work independently or as part of a team;<br>
&#61607;	Detail oriented individual with a strong commitment to quality;<br>
&#61607;	Ability to effectively handle a high volume of work and time critical issues;<br>
&#61607;	Basic computer skills including LIMS, MS Word, Excel and Outlook;<br>
&#61607;	Basic English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.<br>
 <br>
Required Qualifications: <br>
&#61607;	Grade 12 qualification or equivalent required;<br>
&#61607;	Knowledge in general sciences an asset;<br>
&#61607;	Minimum of 3 months laboratory work experience in analytical chemistry, instrumentation or a related field preferred.<br>
<br>
Physical Demands: <br>
&#61607;	Ability to stand and/or sit for up to 7.5 hours;<br>
&#61607;	Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks;<br>
&#61607;	Ability to lift up to 10kg/20 litre containers.<br>
<br>
This lab operates 24/7 and will require day, afternoon, graveyard and weekend shift work.<br>
