I saw a dude on skytrain last night. creepy looking, walking around the train until he found something he liked. There were plenty of seats but he chose to stand "next" to a young girl near me. He stood so close to her and it was pretty obvious what he was doing. She sat there for a good 5 minutes with this guy grinding up on her before she got up. She went to stand near the door, then the creep got off the train with her. SO why even arrange it when you can follow this dud's lead?

I bring your horse into the barn so you can 'ride' him or her and I see the fear in your eyes when I hand the lead-line to you. I have to say that I've not 'once' seen any expression of love or understanding when you handle the horse and that frankly, makes me sad.

You 'toss' my comments aside when I tell you that your horse is a 'psycho' when I'm bringing him in late afternoon and you laugh when I tell you that I had to use a 'chain' to safely bring your horse inside. You fail to realize that I am a mom to a little boy who watches me working with your 'prize' and I finally realize that you care only about the 'score' on the board when your horse is competing. The rest of your horse's life mean nothing to you.

Yes, your horse is majestic. I wish that I could afford a horse of this calibre and yet, I am a way better human being than you will ever be.

Each day I went to work and I studied your horse and I talked to him and I figured him out. I knew what made him sad and I knew what made him happy and the car you drive and the vacations you take mean nothing to him.

I have seen some of you put 'these' horses down due to suspensory issues that you spent 40 grand trying to fix and you were told that he would never compete again. I've seen you euthanize horses because they can no longer jump 4' 3" and sadly, never do 'grand prix' or pull high marks in dressage.

We always hear about the 'plights' of dogs and we sadly never hear about the sad stories of world class equine athletes.

Inside every 'grand prix' horse exists a soul and a heart and I wonder why a lot of owners never actually see that.
