Stork Craft Manufacturing, one of the largest manufacturers of juvenile furniture, is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer and Online Marketing Coordinator to join our team! Stork Craft, and our brands, Ragazzi Fine Furniture, Status Baby and Canwood Furniture, have been in business for over 60 years and have operations across the globe.
As the Graphic Designer, you will produce visual solutions to our communications needs, using a mix of your creative skills and your eye for impeccable layouts. Your abilities with marketing are strong and you understand how to place Stork Craft and its branded companies at the top of the ranks.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, highly skilled, confident and takes pride in displaying a consistent level of quality designs. You have an imaginative flair, an awareness of current trends in graphics and marketing, a working knowledge of the latest graphics programs and an understanding of material costs and time limits.
Working directly with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing you will be responsible for the following:
Design creative conceptions of print, presentation and marketing tools (posters, banners, brochures, flyers, product packaging, logo development, corporate packages, advertisements, etc)
Design and layout graphic elements of our websites using Adobe Photoshop
Graphic maintenance on existing designs to reflect current marketing needs
Work with printers, copywriters, photographers, website designers and marketing specialists to achieve marketing objectives
Assist with photography and photo editing as required
Assist the Marketing Manager with marketing projects as required
Qualifications and Skills:
Superior skill-set in Graphic Design demonstrating advanced knowledge of current design techniques
General understanding of Branding, Concept Development, Package Design, Advertising, Promotions, Direct Marketing, Web Marketing and Social Marketing
Attention to aesthetics, detail and a strong understanding of layout an absolute must.
Ability to translate ideas into a professional, appealing and personal graphical representation based on provided information, graphics and vision for the project.
Experience with search engine marketing and campaign optimization a plus
Ability and willingness to take direction, organize, prioritize and multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
Experience with photography and lighting is an asset
Experience with video production a huge asset
Education Requirements: A post secondary degree in Graphic Design for Marketing and/or Multimedia Design and/or a combination of education and experience
Software Requirements: Advanced applied knowledge in recent versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Creative Suite products
