Applications are now being accepted for TAP DANCE INSTRUCTORS to teach Tap dance classes. These are ongoing contractual positions. Please submit a cover letter stating area(s) of expertise and a résumé by Monday, November 30th, 2009.
Duties/Responsibilities Include:
ˇ Teach Tap dance skills to children and youth .
ˇ Provide a high energy curriculum to keep the students engaged.
ˇ Maintain the safety of the participants in the classes.
ˇ Uphold the high quality and professionalism of the Richmond Arts Centre.
Qualifications:
ˇ Previous Tap dance teaching experience.
ˇ Previous experience with children and youth essential.
ˇ Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.
ˇ Personal dance training as a child, an asset.
ˇ Cultural Diversity and Special Needs experience an asset.
ˇ Basic first aid certification, an asset.
ˇ Successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal record check.
Salary: competitive hourly rate, TBD
