Summary of work:
Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Marketing defines and implements strategic components of product plans, and marketing communications.
Key Accountabilities, Duties & Responsibilities:
•Manage and grow a team of product professionals
•Be responsible for the company’s product portfolio development
•Maintain a thorough understanding of the marketplace and competition, specifically including evolving client requirements
•Interfacing with key vendors and clients
•Drive market analysis for new product offerings and extensions
•Lead the definition of the product feature set
•Lead product life cycle decisions
•Build a product roadmap that details product release functionality
•Maintain Product/Market Requirements Documents
•Develop and drive product positioning and messaging
•Guide the development of collateral, white papers, client presentations, client testimonials and web content
•Build product pricing and bundling options
•Define marketing tactical plans and campaigns for each product
•Create ‘go to market’ goals and plans
•Collect and analyze market data including but not limited to competitive information and end user trends
Requirements
Competencies and Personal Attributes
•Must have experience managing or leading a team
•Strong project/program management and coordination skills; and ability to excel in a fluid, cross-functional team environment
•Track record of driving measurable and meaningful business results
•Excellent presentation, writing and editorial skills
•Experience moving enterprise software based solutions into the global public sector
•Experience with web based solutions is a plus.
Education/Experience:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Technology related field is preferred
•Advanced Degree is preferred
•10+years relevant experience
•5+ years of experience at a Director or VP level
•Must be able to work in Canada
