Pysanka expert and best-selling author Joan Brander is a skilled artist with over 50 years experience in creating pysanky. As a child in Saskatchewan she learned the age-old tradition that was passed down through the generations from her grandmother whom she called "Baba". Joan went on to study at Seneca College of Arts and Technology in Toronto, Ontario.

Empty eggshells are decorated with motifs in the technique known as "wax resist". Traditional symbols, designs and patterns are applied with melted beeswax using a tool called a kistka. Eggs are dipped into successively darker dye baths. At the end of the process the beeswax is removed to reveal a dazzling display of colour.

Joan is proud to be at the forefront of preserving one of the great traditions of all time--PYSANKY!

These two were hand made by Jaques Ramseyer in B.C. by one of the original craftsmen from Switzerland before they became commodity items.

THE real McCoy! You can recognize a True JR Thermometro Lento, his initials are moulded into the lead weight of the top sphere.

First one is 17" high and has 7 gold balls

Second one is 24" high and has 11 - very rare royal blue balls (yes...I know...) ;)

They have been taken care of and there are no scratches and come in their original boxes with the foam padding.

Asking $5.00 for the 17", $30.00 for the 24" or $30.00 for both

UNLIKE so many of the mass produced products of this type, this one has been produced in small numbers and is, in my view, far superior in looks and quality to the others. This item was made in British Columbia, Canada by the artisan Jacques Ramseyer who sold them only to selected retailers

As well as being functional and making for tasteful room decor, any one who sees it wants to know all about it. A real conversation piece.

I am selling my drafting / craft table that I bought from Ikea. The table top is 30" x 60" and the legs are adjustable. You can adjust the height and you can also adjust the angle. The legs are solid wood.

I bought it for drafting so the table top has a sheet of Vyco board cover. It is a self-healing mat and it allows you to poke the pin of your compass into it without putting a hole in the table. I also installed a Parallel Straight Edge for drawing your lines. The board cover was $75.00 and the straight edge was $175.00. Everything is in very good condition. Since I had the board cover on it, the table top is in excellent condition.

This is a very versatile table and it can easily be used for crafts or a desk.
