Great Canadian Casinos is searching for a dynamic detail oriented, and employee-focused Human Resources Administrator to b based out of our Boulevard Casino location.  Our <b>HR/OPS Administrator</b> will administer and coordinate Human Resources and Operations services including database input and maintenance, compensation and total rewards management, recruitment, training and on-boarding initiatives, health and safety, ordering of gaming/office supplies and supporting the Casino General Manager and Operations team by performing various other duties. <br>
<br>
<b>Specific responsibilities for our Human Resources Administrator will include: </b><br>
<br>
•	Managing general Payroll administration such as: anniversary increases, Payroll Discrepancy Forms etc., within established payroll period close deadlines<br>
•	Processing Payroll Change Forms, address changes, etc. for the site, inputting into JD Edwards and maintaining site files for all location hourly and salaried employees<br>
•	Handling all GPEB or background check applications as required<br>
•	Providing administrative support by: maintaining and updating procedures, designing and maintaining HR site filing systems, responding to employment verifications, tracking approved vacation requests and any general external enquiries<br>
•	Maintaining bulletin boards, HR forms, and other communication vehicles.  Ensuring announcements are posted and taken down in a timely fashion<br>
•	Coordinating interoffice mail and site lockers<br>
•	Ordering and distributing gaming and office supplies for all departments<br>
•	Assisting the General Manager and Operations team with various tasks and assisting in completion of projects & priorities<br>
•	Creating and developing internal and external correspondence as needed<br>
•	Assisting with various activities, events or projects to ensure smooth daily operational workflow<br>
•	Advising staff and management on HR/OPS Support functions<br>
•	Administering and coordinating internal rewards and recognition programs (GEM)<br>
•	Assisting with recruitment or on-boarding tasks as necessary to ensure a smooth process for new hires<br>
•	Updating the site directory and meter reading reports<br>
•	Attending and preparing meeting minutes as required<br>
•	Other duties as required<br>

<b>Our next Human Resources Administrator will possess the following qualifications: </b><br>

•	Post secondary diploma/certificate in Human Resources or a suitable combination of education and experience<br>
•	Experience in an Administrative role within Human Resources is a definite asset<br>

•	Excellent knowledge of MS Office and HR information systems, JD Edwards experience an asset<br>

•	Processing employee leave requests and status changes: non medical and medical <br>
•	Maintaining up-to-date leave management employee information <br>
•	Assisting HR Advisor with WorkSafe claims and Gradual Return to Work Programs<br>
•	Assisting HR Advisor with various medical status leave letters<br>
•	Attending and preparing minutes for Health and Safety meetings and other meetings as required<br>

•	Familiar with current employment legislation<br>

•	Excellent knowledge of MS Office and HR Information Systems, JD Edwards, Kronos and Visio experience an asset<br>

RESPONSIBILITIES: <br>

Payroll<br>
<br>
•	Verification of hours worked ensuring compliance with company policy<br>
•	Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees<br>
•	Accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations, and rate changes<br>
•	Calculate and issue T4s and ROEs<br>
•	Answer enquiries relating to payroll<br>
<br>
Human Resources:<br>
<br>
•	Coordinate the recruitment of new employees<br>
•	Manage advertising and recruitment activities, including internal job posting<br>
•	Pre-screening of  resumes and candidates<br>
•	Schedule interviews<br>
•	Conduct reference checks on candidates<br>
•	Prepare offers of employment, orientation packages and ensure completion of pre-employment documentation<br>
•	Maintain employee database<br>
•	Coordinate vacation, sick leave, and other leaves of absence<br>
•	Manage employee retention and training<br>
•	Develop and implement employee engagement programs and HR policies as required<br>
•	Handle all aspects of HR administration: tracking probation and training progress, drafting announcements and memos, updating forms<br>
•	Participate in special reports and projects as required <br>
•	Administer group benefits plan including enrolment, changes and enquires<br>
•	Participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee monthly meetings<br>
•	Performance management and annual reviews<br>
•	Provide advice and recommendations to managers on employee complaints, disciplinary and termination issues, and provide assistance if necessary<br>
•	Contribute to a positive work environment<br>
•	Oversee exiting processes<br>
<br>
QUALIFICATIONS:<br>
<br>
•	Minimum 5 years experience in Payroll and Human Resources<br>
•	Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality<br>
•	Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, Employment Standards, Human Rights & Labour Relations legislations and regulations<br>
•	Excellent time management & organizational skills and written & verbal communication<br>
•	Strong computer skills including MS Office<br>
