Our Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to work in our Arena Concession on a casual basis, primarily evenings and weekends during busy periods.
The City operated concession offers hot and cold beverages, snacks and a variety of short order food items. The Concession Worker prepares food, handles cash, cleans the equipment and concession area to ensure hygienic conditions are kept at a high level, all while delivering prompt and courteous service to our customers.
To be successful, a Concession Worker must have excellent customer service skills, experience in the service industry as a short order cook and hold a current Food Safe Certificate. Preference will be given to applicants with computerized point of sale, cash handling and are computer literate.
The 2009 rate of pay for this casual position is $14.40 per hour plus 12% in lieu of statutory holidays and vacation. The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.
