I currently live in the North Shore and the Vancouver exchange would be so that my parents visit me here. The Whistler exchange would be myself going skiing.
We offer our 3 BR apartment 30 seconds from the Beach (there is only one house between our apartment and the beach and there is a pedestrian crossing right in front of our condo).
The apartment is 3 BR, 2 bathrooms and is part of a 3 unit complex inside a gated community, two on the main floor and one the first floor (ours). There is a pool and a big garden that is shared only with the other two units. The apartment has WiFi, satellite TV and AC although this time of year weather is just perfect. Cleaning is provided twice a week. All apartments in the building are vacation houses so it would be extremely weird if there is anyone other than during holidays or long weekends.

This beach condo is located on a private gated community with private security and there´s even a golf course within the gates (green fee is extra). This condo is a vacation home meaning we are absolutely open to non-simultaeous exchanges or to just rent it out.
Manzanillo is a very calm beach destination on the Pacific, about 200 km south of Puerto Vallarta, ideal for families. The tide is perfect for children and the sand is extremely soft (the color is brown because it came from volcanoes). It is not crowded as Vallarta and it doesn´t have the zillion dining options you find there, but there are several good restaurants and you can find known places like Walmart, Starbucks or Burger King along with local establishments. Manzanillo´s International Airport is about 25 kilometers from the apartment.
If you are like me who normally goes to rest, there´s a basic supermarket within the gated community (3 minutes walking) where you can buy groceries and other basics. If you want to drive, then you can go to Walmart or other huge supermarkets, the movie theatre or other famous golf courses.
The apartment comes with two giant beach umbrellas that will be setup for you on the beach if you so desire. We also have beach tables and chairs. We could perhaps arrange for the janitor to take the chairs, tables cooler, etc to the beach every morning and bring them back in the afternoon so that you worry about nothing.
