Hi. I am (considering) offering our 2 bedroom apartment, during the Olympics, for a house swap and flight tickets, to and from your residence. Use of our car is available - 4 door 2003 (maybewill need to get snow chains for tires)
Our home is a spacious 2 bedroom apartment. One queen bed and one double bed. There is a limit of 3 guests. Pets welcome (well behaved). Management is incredably nosey here so I really need reliable and respectful guests, while I'm gone. We have underground parking, laundry room and our apartment has full bathroom, microwave, oven, stove...all the regular apartment stuff....oh--no cable or satalite--but yes to high speed internet.
The location is awesome. We are 2 blocks away from the Translink seabus and city buses (which connects with the skytrain). Hyw 1 is in close proximity and in direct route to Cypress and Whistler. We are directly across from downtown Vancouver and can see the city from our place, just take the 10 minute seabus (2 small blocks away) and your downtown Vancouver.
Our place is Lower Lonsdale, North Vancover ( 1st and Lonsdale) where all in a 1-2-3- block radius you have the sea wall, movie theatre, local and franchise restaurants, the grocery store, pharmacy, coffee store (one 24 hours), art shops, Lonsdale Quay, gas station, convience store, local theatre, hair salons, drycleaning, you name it. The building itself is built in 1970 and I need prior approval from management for guests to stay. Beware there are alot of smokers here...so, .......get out and enjoy the Olympics and relax knowing you have a good (close to Whistler and Cypress -accept Richmond is a distance) place to rest your head. (Our home is good)
SO, if you have a good place for us stay at, and are willing to pay for two, there and back, flight tickets for us, let us know. We are honest people and would like to have a nice holiday away from the Olympics.
Some swap destinations we are considering to swap are hummm-I don't know--what options are there??? We are limited financially, so we don't want any high risk situations -situations like crazy expensive taxis-or no grocery store in sight, or crazy relatives..you know, ... the unexpected...
...what else.....our dog...we have a 1.7 year old dog that we can't leave alone (yet) so maybe we'd ask for a plane ticket for her too if we could take her to the swapping location. Otherwise we will have to find a pet sitter for her. I'd don't want anything that will financially burden us and I need to keep cost down. Renting our apartment is out of the question.
Sorry-for this out loud brain congeal--I mean storm.
Let's see if this fishing for an Olympic Swap will work out?
Oh, I think it would be nice to spend time in a remote like setting with our dog, in the snow and the use of a snowmobile.
Or, somewhere sunny and warm, without the dog ---and with man servants- :-P
