Our family loves to play outside - hiking, biking, swimming, as well as walking in the trail next to our house. We love to do things all over the city like hiking Grouse Mountain, snowshoeing; visiting the Vancouver Aquarium, the Capilano Suspension bridge, Science World and so many other great things.
We eat healthy food (whole wheat spagetti, wild salmon, organic roasted chicken, rice wraps) and we teach our children healthy eating habits as well. We also love to travel and go camping, go on trips to Vancouver Island and visit relatives. We also have a close relationship with the girls' grandparents and see them at least weekly so you will get to know them as well.

We live very close to the seabus, so a 12 minute ride into downtown Vancouver where there is access to art galleries, museums, theatres, shopping and great restaurants.

Job Description
We are looking for someone to care for our 21 month old and our 4 year old while Dad is at work and Mom is at school. Hours will be close to full-time, but school has frequent breaks so you will have those off as well. You will be spending the day with the happy, fun, adventureous little girls while we work and go to school and then weekends and evenings you may do as you please. Hello there,

My name is Jade and I am a career nanny. I have been working as a full time nanny for a family in the Dunbar area since March, however their needs changed recently and I am now only working for them part time. Due to this change I am seeking another part time job. I currently work for the family 9:30-6:30 Mondays and Tuesdays and 11:30 - 1pm on Wednesdays. The curriculum at CEFA is to learn & engage through play and songs -- with an approach to getting messy! The become KIDS here! You will never see high chairs for lunch, they are all in little chairs enjoying the meals that at times, that have helped prepare! Included in your tuition fee is the in house chief! Who makes wonderful, amazing different meals 3x a day! If you child has an allergy they are MORE than willing to accommodate that allergy to make sure you child is always protected! That really showed me that at CEFA, they were concerned about providing the children a good experience and encouraging their independence to become the individuals they are destined to be!

It is such a positive learning environment there, our daughter is coming home singing the songs she has learnt, counting and doing things I didn't think was possible!

When your child is starting to show signs of potty training readiness, the teachers are more then willing to help steer them in the right direction! It is so nice to know that our daughter is being cared for in such a fantastic way! Working full time, doesn't give me the option to help her potty train on a consistent basis so knowing this is happening during the day, makes it so much easier for us to stay consistent at home!

Their curriculum is amazing; they are set up as a school type of environment where your child is in a classroom with just their age, so there are never toys or activities that aren't suited for the age that your child is at. They have French classes where they learn through singing, yoga, reading time, learning about letters and numbers, and they are teaching them how to write, starting first with horizontal & vertical line applications!

CEFA is a little more pricey then your regular home based daycares, but in our experience seeing how she has changed from the 2 previous home based daycares is something I can't even explain. She is a happy, full-filled little girl. They do offer sibling discounts as well, the added bonus is the REFERAL program there, that if you use our name, you will get $200 off each month!!! This puts them more in line with other group settings facilities out there, and the bonus, you don't need to send them food, so you are saving money there as well as time.

Bright Future Family child care is a licensed day care center located in North Delta. The day care offers family centered care for children from 1year through 5 years. Bright Future is committed to meet all children's needs by providing high quality child care with in a loving, warm, safe and stimulating environment. Our caregiver is qualified Early childhood Educator and have many years of experience in child care. We offer a preschool type of program throughout the day in a home like setting. Our daily program is structured and consists of a balance of indoor and outdoor activities. We provide a varied curriculum including activities such as music, dance, circle/story times, games, math, creative art & craft, sensorial activities. Our indoor play area is spacious, and bright consists of lots of age appropriate learning materials. We have huge onsite outdoor play area with fully fenced yard. Also included in our routine we like to do regular outings to the parks and visits to the local family resource centers. Our hours of operation are from Monday to Friday 7 am to 5:30 pm. If you need earlier start or late pick-up please let us know. We have excellent personal and professional references. We offer reasonable monthly rates and accept child care subsidy.

The cost

Our one-time initiation fee is $825.00 for a full time placement and $525.00 for part time (less than 30 hours per week), and is payable only after you make an offer of employment. The hourly wage for nanny services is $17.00. Hours are flexible and available for part-time or full-time care.

Large fenced yard, walks, the park and crafts are some of the fun stuff we do on a daily basis.
Excellent references.
$28 a day, but also very willing to do hourly babysitting during the day and evenings.
