My name is Jaime and I'm 24 years old. I'm a SAHM to a wonderful 2 year old boy. I am a LNR daycare and I will have one full time spot open for December 1st BUT I can start care on Monday November 30th and will even give you your first day free of charge! I currently am watching a 3 1/2 year old girl full time (who is my niece so by law, I can take 2 more children), and a 20 month old girl full time. -I provide journal entries daily for the older children on a timeline of activities done in one day here. Also, a brief summary of your child's progress and behaviour daily. My other parents find this a great conversation tool for themselves and their children.
-I give 2 healthy snacks daily and I allow the kids choices of fruit, veggies, yogurt, nutri grain bars, animal crackers, cheese ect. I also supply milk, juice (diluted) and water.
-You would provide a lunch, diapers and wipes
-I have a playpen and separate room for your child to nap in at naptime
-I have my general first aid but I am going to be taking child care cpr/first aid coming up in the next few months. I also have a first aid kit with all the supplies on hand at all times.
-I can assist with potty training only when your child is ready and on a system we both agree on
-I have a contract that I can email you if you'd like to take a look. I can also provide great references if you'd like. And I can also supply a criminal record check upon serious applicants only.

Charges per month:

Full time children 18 months and up are: $600.00 per month

Part time children are: $450.00 per month (2-3 days per week...I may also be able to accomodate shift work as well)

Let me introduce myself to you.
I am a 56-year-old, young at heart , resourceful and energetic Russian woman, a citizen on the US, who arrived to New Westminster on November 6. I have a strong desire to become a permanent resident of Canada; that is why I have accepted a job offer and am going to work for one family through Canadian Program called "Live-In Caregiver."
Since I will only work half time for that faily (5.5 hours/day), I am looking for another family or families wich would appreciate my coming to your children's lives.

Why appreciating? Maybe BECAUSE...

I've been a teacher for 36 years and still love kids and teaching, as well as learning from kids and for teaching them better.

I have studied three languages in depth, and my English is very fluent as, besides a bachelor in teaching it and a California teacher credential, I have earned thirty graduate level units in teaching it and got a Letter of Learning to teach ESL. Yes, I have studied grammar, unlike many native speakers. I am expecting to get a graduate certificate in Post secondary reading from San Francisco State University soon.

My native language is Russian, and I have a bachelor's degree in teaching it and years of experience. Your younger children would develop shells for learning foreign languages if I speak in both English and Russian with them. I understand Ukrainian and only need to practice speaking. But I can Sing in Ukrainian!

In terms of singing and music in general, I have a bachelor degree in teaching piano and accompaniment from a Ukraininan state collge and many units in music, including the units in teaching the youngest kids, from San Francisco State University, and I can easily perform the program "kids Can Make Music or "Babies Can Make Music" in your home environment. But, more important, I can teach your children piano at any level, from beginning to advanced.

It might be important for you to know that I have raised two fairly educated daughters, one of whom has three bachelor's from Belarus and US and MBA from Paris, and another one, who is a performing musician with MA in classical guitar from San Francisco Conservatory of Music and bachelor's in English from Belarus.

I have always been good at Math and can easily help your children with their homework and homeschooling.
Besides my three teaching credentials ( in Music, Russian, and English), I have earned a California teacher credential in Early childhood education, which is also called Site Supervisor Permit and allows me to work as a director of a child development center (not a home daycare, though I do have a childcare provider's license from California).

I have worked as a substitute teacher at all public and some private schools in Marin County, California, and had a chance to see different methodologies, styles, and strategies to develop my own strong beliefs .

Now I am approaching an area which I have not thought about before: HOMESCHOOLING!

In a week after my arrival, I got a job offer from a homeschooling family and now feel absolutely inspired by the teaching experiences I got.

What makes me happy is:

1) The mother of the two charming 6 and 8 years old children is fond of intensive teaching and has Montessori training. She accepted all my suggestions and decided to have her children study not only regular academics but also piano and Russian. My first Love, Music, helps me lead the kids towards what I see to be of importance in the rest subjects, and , because they trust me and are progressing in music very fast, they agree to accept my parallels.

2) The mother demonstrates respect towards my educational background and is ready to negotiate when our methods differ. If we have any argument, we do not let the children know about it until the problem is resolved.

3) The mother agrees that, in order to own the material I am going to present to the children, I have to get prepared for that in advance. I get my homework every day, so that I do know what to expect from my students, and how to help them better when they are being taught. It is Very Important NOT to just use the teacher's authority but rather perform the explanations skillfully and work hands-on. Not having been religious, I strongly believe in kids, and their eyes can always tell me if I am wrong or right.

4) I've passed fingerprint and TB tests recently, and got CPR and First Aid certificates in June 2009.
5) I am a driver with a California license, which I can use without taking any exam in Canada for one year.

In her first days on the job, she made flash cards of musical notes, letters and numbers to show our 14-month old son, sat with him at the piano playing simple tonal patterns as well as charming children�s classics, and has made efforts to teach him new skills such as clapping and playing with new objects other than just his favorite toys.

She is loyal and has integrity. Larysa was never late or sick, and readily agreed to provide extra babysitting hours if we needed additional help. Her energy seems boundless, and each day she would climb the unforgiving hills surrounding our house to take our son to the park and make him giggle on the baby swing.

Larysa is an intelligent, educated woman who has developed strong opinions. She will do best in an environment that values her strength of conviction and allows her the discretion and freedom to execute her own techniques and ideas.

Finally, Larysa showed concern for our entire family. Fun place family child care has space for children from 1 to 5 years old. I believe nature and love is the most important thing for all children. My daily plan are art activities, story time, circle time, inside/outside play and let them grow naturally and happily. Our program is similar to pre-school program. I hold child care certificates and an Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR Certificate from Red Cross . fun place Family Childcare Centre is fully licensed by Vancouver Coastal Health and is also a member of Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre. Do you need child care during the day in the Coquitlam area? I am a wonderful mother of a two year old boy. I would love to take on the resposibility of caring for two other children during the days Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:30pm

Our daily schedule

-Breakfast (provided by parent if needed to be eaten at daycare)

-Activities (playdoh;making playdoh,arts and crafts with allot of recycled materials,singing and dancing,colouring,cooking,ect).

-1st snack time (choices of fruit,real fruit snacks, whole grain cereal bars, no sugar yogurt ect).

-outside play Weather permitting (I live right by a children's playground).

-If we do not go outside to play then we have free play (with toys)

-lunch time

-circle (reading)

-naptime

-2nd snack time (choices of fruit,real fruit snacks, whole grain cereal bars, no sugar yogurt ect).

-free play (with toys)

-clean up time (before parents arrive)

You would provide lunch, any other drinks besides water, diapers and wipes.

I have a playpen, a single bed and my bed in separate rooms for your child to nap in.

I can assist with potty training when your child is ready on a system we both agree on.

I have a contract for review that also would need to be signed and returned on your first day of care.

I am also willing to provide a criminal record check for serious applicants only.

Butterfly childcare is now expanding in the new Fraser Heights area, our new daycare is more open and spacious and has been completely redecorated, and we are now enrolling for the months of December and January. Our daycare has a toddler program, preschool program for children ages 3 to 5, as well as a new after school program for children that attend elementary school in the area. The teacher has her Early Childhood Education and 6 years experience working with children 0 to 12 years and a second teacher that runs the after school and toddler program. We offer a great program and we try to accommodate and support the parents needs as much as possible, At Butterfly Daycare we believe that learning should be fun, and children should have the opportunity to grow and learn in an environment that fosters growth in all developmental areas. We believe that a child's emotional social and creative self can be enhanced through appropriate activities designed to build self-esteem. We also believe that children should be given the opportunity to be in a safe environment with staff that is sensitive, nurturing caring and give children the opportunity to be independent. We have an amazing 17 month old little boy who is very active, friendly and loving~and we are looking for the best possible place for him to go while we are at work. My husband was layed off, so has been taking care of him since my mat. leave ended, but he is now suddenly heading back into the work force. We would need daycare for Tues-Fri, but on occassion Mon-Thurs. starting ASAP or from Dec 1st. We would prefer close to our home which is Renfrew and 18th, or on my commute to work, so between Renfrew and Burrard.
