Perky older QH mare, strawberry roan, 14.2hh. Very gentle and ridden by children in the arena and on trails. Blind in her left eye but she doesn't let that get her down.

Why own a chicken coop?

Great Reason #1 - Eggs!

Of course one of the first things that comes to mind when you think chickens is eggs! And who doesn't love eggs? I mean when you think about it most pets that live comfortably inside your home don't give anything more than barks, meows, purrs, and sometimes, chirp. Fishes, in general, can be eaten, but who would want to eat Goldie? None of these domesticated animals produce something edible. Well, chickens, on the other hand, have lots of benefits. And they aren't afraid to earn their keep by contributing to the household stock of groceries!

You can eat fresh eggs right from the source. Fresh eggs taken from chickens minutes or hours ago are more tasty and nutritious than those purchased in the grocery store. You'll notice the texture and color is way different than that of the fresh ones.

Your lawn or backyard could've never looked better. Chickens love to freely walk around. Chickens also love to peck on anything they see that can be considered as food. And what is food to them? Possibly anything that's organic. If you let your chickens roam around your space, you'll find out how reliable they can be. They eat pests living in your backyard - grubs, beetles, insects, earwigs, and anything that comes close.

Not only that, but they will also eat those pesky weeds that pop up and ruin your lawn. For chickens, grasses, weeds, and leaves are treats. It's like a lifetime dessert offering. It's like having a cow in your own backyard. They will dig through whatever it is without even complaining about the hard work. Chickens will clip it then clean it all at the same time.

After the digestion has set its due, they will transform what they've eaten into poop. But this is not just any kind of poop but a treasure called natural fertilizer. And you know what natural fertilizers do right? They keep the soil healthy for plants to grow. Cool.

Great Reason #3 - Low Maintenance Pets

Unlike dogs that need combing and brushing everyday to keep their fur alive and shiny, chickens doesn't need such soulful treatment. All you have to do is provide them their daily needs like food and water. You also have to clean their pad at least twice a month and change the beddings too. In return, you can gather all the eggs you want and have a great looking healthy lawn. Aside from just gathering, you can also start a small business of your own by supplying poultry stores with fresh eggs or chicken meat. A pet that can actually contribute to the household finances and that won't scratch at the door or whine for attention!

With these reasons, why bother getting yourself a dog or a cat? No offense but they can't even water the plants nor help supply you with breakfast. All they do is prove to their masters that they are either one's best friends. There will be a few changes this year. We will be holding the sale in a HEATED indoor due to last year's bone chilling outdoor sale and we are scheduling it a little later in the year to try to scare away the snow we had last year. Due to the move to a heated building we have had to up the price from $10 to $20 per seller. This is still a fantastic deal and seeing as you have a ton of people out there doing all the advertising and organizing all that's left is for you to show up and make some bucks. . .or spend some. We are still a ZERO commission sale with tons of free parking that is dedicated to keeping this an affordable opportunity for our sellers and buyers to come flog your tack. $20 gets you an 8'X8' space with a dirt floor. Please don't forget that you will need to supply your own tables, chairs, saddle racks ect. Please email to reserve your spot. Spots went fast last year with over 75 vendors reserving spots so we ask that you reserve your spot early. Sellers will be admitted at 9am to set up and shoppers will be admitted in at 10am sharp. There will be a small concession provided with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, muffins, donuts ect. We are very excited to be doing this for a second year after the tremendous success of our sale last year. The only complaints we heard last year was how cold it was (which we have done our best to correct) and that buyers wished they had have brought more money (that's up to you)! Dinsdale "aka Poh" is a 13 year old 16.2H been there done that gelding.
He has competed to 3'6", evented to pretraining level, goes down trails, teaches students, loads and unloads like a dream, has no vices and stands for the farrier. He is super laid back and easy to work with. Very steady rhythm, is quite brave to jump and easy to ride around a course. Does flying lead changes, leg yields, shoulder ins. He currently can do up to 2nd level dressage and a few 3rd level dressage movements. He is currently ridden 4 times a week, so is in shape and will be ready to show this coming show season.
Poh has been getting weekly lessons with a 14 year old riding him for almost year now, she was a confident beginner when she started and has come a long way.
He would suit an amateur rider who is confident under saddle and knows the basics.

The following horses are priced starting from $75/monthly for 1/day week. Ask for more details. Lessons available as well for the beginner who is just learning.

1)15hhn beautiful Aged QH gelding. Been a trail/lesson horse his whole life, very suitable for beginners/intermediates. Goes english and western, no jumping please.
2) 14.1hh Pinto mare (qh build, takes up a lot of leg) very well broke, been there done that. Goes english, western, jumps, trails, trailers, baths, clips, etc. She has literally done it all. Suitable for Any level of rider! (Safe for beginners, fun for advanced!)
3)14hh Amazing Qh/Arab gelding. Been there done that as well. VERY well trained. Mostly suitable for intermediate riders, but would also suit dressage rider of any level.
4) 15.1hh Grey TB mare. Sweet as pie and wants a job! Well broke but doesnt do well with nervous riders. For that reason Id like her to have an intermediate or advanced rider. Fancy enough to have a promising hunter career.

And Lastly! Unlimited riding until May (shes due to foal) price very negotiable.
5)15hh Arabian mare. Very long and low movement, not spooky, very sweet. She is a special mare, an amazing ride, very smart and sensative. Experienced riders only. Email for more details.

All of these horses have to stay on our farm, but we have tons of riding facilities, lots of people to ride with. Tack is included and the horses are all very well looked after and there are no hidden costs.
