The Membership Services position will focus on developing relationships with our membership and is a prime opportunity for career growth. Successful candidates will be able to leverage this role to gain recognition in the business community based on performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to maintain steady sales growth to facilitate the Burnaby Board of Trade’s membership growth. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and ambitious individual who can maintain our reputation of being one of the fastest growing Boards of Trade in Canada.
Duties
- Professional calling to increase the Board of Trade’s membership revenue
- Attend numerous networking functions and business events on an on-going basis
- Network within the business community and represent the Board of Trade at various events to support lead generation
- Develop and strengthen relationships with businesses, not-for-profit organizations and business associations
Requirements for the position:
- At least 1 year of experience in B2B sales
- University education or equivalent experience in business
- Experience with relationship-based sales
- Proven ability to achieve sales growth
- Able to connect with prominent organizations and large companies
- Must be comfortable conversing with professionals including senior management
- Strong networking skills
- Keep abreast of prominent business and social issues
- Professional and welcoming demeanour
- Must be self-directed, achievement oriented and goal driven
- Able to operate independently with little supervision
