We primary use python for web development using pyramid and soon web2py experience with either framework would be beneficial; however we will also consider developers with Django, Plone, or even GUI application level programming.
We prefer developers who truly understand OOP, what 'self' really is and why it is needed.
A huge benefit would be prior or current experience with C/C++.
Ability to work in a team oriented environment, and also alone to complete tasks on time and with high code quality
Understand the importance of modularization and API generation
Can explain idea's clearly and effectively
Able to handle code debates without making the situation personal
Finally must always put the company and customer experience above and beyond what you have done in the past. If a new feature is required that you don't understand never say it is impossible instead discus with the team until a solution to the problem presents itself.

2. Fluency with HTML/CSS/JavaScript is necessary as we will be creating advanced highly interactive user interfaces.

3. GIT is a nice to have skill but will be introduced to developers who don't know it.

4. Clean code, design and organization are expected from ALL developers on the team. We will regularly be performing code reviews and also provide training to help improve on coding habits.

5. Sometimes working late hours and/or weekends will be necessary in order to complete task. IE: When a major bug in the code is found on the weekend we CANNOT wait until Monday to fix it. Developers on the team all understand this and we all must be available when something goes wrong.

Please send us some coding examples, your resume. Be prepared to answer questions and have solutions along with a short summary on what you would do to improve our current site.
