I am presently living in a one bedroom apartment that I can no longer afford due to my health and the financial the situation I now find myself in because of my health. So after living here for almost 3 years I have given my notice to move by Nov 30th.

For the first time in my life I find myself relying on a total $610.00 per month as my total income. This truly scares me as I'm sure it would scare you if you found yourself in the same situation. My concern now is where I can find a place to live that I can afford that will still leave me some money left over to buy even food much less pay the modest bills I have?

I believe I have a couple options:

The first option is to stay where I am and see if I can get a decent person to share my one bedroom apartment with me. That person would have use of the bedroom, including the bed and dresser while I would use the hall closet for my clothing and sleep on the chesterfield (as I usually do anyway). Additionally that person would have access to such things as my kitchen equipment (dishes, pots/pans,etc.) my TV (which I seldom watch) etc. Ideally that person would not have any furniture because there would not be any room to put another bed, chesterfield, etc. in this apartment. The rent here is presently $750.00 per month and includes cable and heat. I pay approximately $50 or so every two months for hydro. Whoever was to move in would pay half of that; so $400.00 per month would include your portion of the rent and hydro.

The other option I have would be to sell everything I own (such as my bed, chesterfield, etc.) so that I can easily move into a cheaper place that is already furnished. This of course would save me the cost and worry about having to move those things. I could consider too putting my things in storage for when my health and financial situation improves but at this point it does not make sense to me to add the stress of another monthly payment.

If after reading my ad I hope that someone out there will respond to it with some good news. I await for that response. Thank you.
