So maybe it isn't the perfect situation for you but if you steer your attention to your child, you will feel fulfilled as a responsible and loving father; probably build a strong bond with the youngster and be more open to all the options that you really do have.

What I disagree with not only that fact that you think that I'm going to die an an extremely lonely and hefty man, I'm loving not only the energy, able to breath easier and all the other health benefits of living a much healthier life style, but I'm also loving the looks that I'm getting, when I'm walking down the street, or shopping for clothing (it's a major confidence boost, when people compliment you, instead of ridicule you), so there is no way in hell, that I'm going back to being the 500 pound sad sack that I use to be.

As for you thinking that I only have asked out a small amount of women, that's laughable. I'm always trying new way's of asking women out, some times I get a date, some times I don't but from what I've observed over the years, is that women are always out for the B.B.D. which stands for the Bigger Better Deal. We got off to a bad start when I moved to New West four years ago. You could get me to work in Richmond in a decent amount of time, but you couldn't get me home in less than an hour. I thought I had made a terrible mistake...and that the price I paid for slightly cheaper accomodation in New West was going to be offset by the number of hours spent in the car. There was that one day in 2009 when I was stuck on you for over two hours. I'm sure you remember it too. You had me scared.

However, after a few months we then entered a detante. You allowed me to go and return from work in what I would consider a decent amount of time. I got complacent. Occasionally you would throw in a little something to keep it fresh, but you reverted to the norm soon enough.

I have learned many things from you....
- People who drive on you do not subscribe to the "zipper" concept of merging. Not unless the zipper is clogged with bits of tissue from the bottom of my purse
- On and off ramps can be used as passing lanes
- If you leave the office and there is the slightest chance you may need to urinate, take that oppourtunity. Never, NEVER think you can wait until you get home
- Leaving a car length in between you and the next car is just an invitation for someone to take that space.

In these four years, you and I have come to a nice place. You're like that person at the office I smile at each day. We've never had lunch, or talked at the Christmas party...but we recognize each other and we aknowledge that relationship.

I have even defended you! Over the holidays, I explained to someone that you really weren't that bad..and your bad reputation was unfounded. I deflected the bad reputation to your nasty sister, the Alex Fraser bridge. Let's face it, we all know who the bad sibling is. Her parents should be ashamed.

Anyways, I will come to the point of my letter. A colleague of mine was recently looking at real estate in New West. I assured her repeatedly that you were really nothing to worry about, and that you and I had come to a place of real understanding. In fact, I offered to drive her into New West today after work and drop her off. Now, I'm sure you personally had nothing to do with the stall and the accident that happened. But did it have to be today? It was a 95 minute drive home today. Not only was it blocked in the eastbound direction, westbound was completely blocked too. WHY TODAY? If my colleague moved to New West, I could car pool and save myself a boatload of moolah. I would have someone to chat to in the car. After today, my colleague has ruled out moving to New West completely. You dropped the ball. We are back to where we started when I first moved out here. I will no longer defend you. You are now that person who I don't make eye contact with in the hall.

BC has the highest unemployment rate west of Ontario. So what better way to give jobs to BC families by sending them to work at one of two new coal mines in BC.
