Religion is a set of man made rules designed to make people believe that if they just do this or do that they will somehow be acceptable to God.
Religion is man made and has very little to do with faith in God.
When will civilization move beyond religion?
Probably never. Mankind, the human race was created among other things to worship God. It is as natural for the human to want to worship God as it is for them to want to eat, to breath, to have sex, to drink, etc.
The problem is they keep making up their own rules..............called religions and have the whole thing backwards, or they create an idol, a church, a human, and worship that instead, and then fight
and war and commit innumerable crimes and atrocities in the name of their "religion.
