Graphic Design Position - 10 month contract for Maternity Leave.

In this role you will produce creative print and on-line mediums while working closely with members of the marketing and sales team to achieve our business goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participating in new product development designs
• Designing marketing materials including folders, brochures, flyers and other printed marketing materials
• Creating weekly email and fax marketing flyers
• Creating and Printing in-house gift certificates/coupons daily
• Preparing custom sales materials for sales staff
• Interface designs for websites development
• Creating simple Flash banners each month - mainly focusing on basic animations and navigation (ActionScript is a plus).
• Manage print budgets, inventory levels and print vendor relationships.
• Manage Design Ratification Process ensuring accurate passing of information and updates.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
• 2-4 years Experience in Graphic Design & Marketing
• Experience with the preparation of print files for production
• Strong working knowledge of design-related applications (Adobe Creative Suite and QuarkXPress)
• Ability to articulate creative ideas
• Excellent attention to detail
• Organized, hands-on, able to bring projects to completion
• Experience in a team environment and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Graphic Design
***Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop and QuarkXPress is a must
***Extensive Pre-press knowledge (essential)
***Exceptional organizational and time management skills
