Financial Analyst
Strong analytical skills are called for in this dynamic finance role
Burnaby (Metro Vancouver), BC
You will form part of our Corporate Services branch, which is responsible for providing a full range of financial, administrative and information management, legal program analysis and corporate planning services for BC Housing.
Reporting to the Assistant Comptroller, your role will see you:
- monitor BC Housing’s cash position
- prepare complex and comprehensive cash flow forecasts
- participate in identifying funds available for short- and long-term investment
- provide analysis on our investment accounts
In addition, you will also be responsible for our PRHC fixed assets reconciliation and mortgage analysis and reconciliation. Working closely with the Comptroller and Assistant Comptroller to ensure timely completion of monthly account reconciliations and year-end audit requirements forms part of the job, as does including the preparation of year-end schedules and working papers.
Ideally, your qualifications include completion of the 4th year level in a recognized accounting program and 5 years’ relevant experience in an accounting or finance department. Additionally, you’re adept at building relationships with internal and external clients and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Expert computer skills are required, and you are known for your diplomacy and tact. Excellent communication skills round out your profile.
